Where can I install the FreeSpace DS 16F loudspeaker?

It is designed for indoor installations in ceilings. It can be flush-mounted in solid or tile ceilings, and can be used in plenum (air-handling) spaces when installed with the PC-16 plenum cover accessory. It can also be suspended from open ceilings with an accessory pendant-mount kit. The loudspeaker is engineered for mounting heights up to 20 feet (6 m).

An optional square grille accessory is also available for installations in which a square grille complements the architecture and décor.

How do I install the FreeSpace DS 16F loudspeaker?

Cut an 8-inch (203 mm) hole in the ceiling or ceiling tile using the included template. (Note: The hole must be slightly bigger than the actual product diameter to ensure proper fit.) The use of a tile bridge accessory is typically required for most tile ceiling applications to distribute the weight of the loudspeaker to the ceiling support structure. After the hole is cut, attach the input wires to the rear loudspeaker terminals. If necessary, fasten a safety cable to the seismic tab on the rear of enclosure. Put the loudspeaker in the hole and tighten the three anchors with a screwdriver by turning the three screws marked with triangular arrows on the front baffle. After the loudspeaker is secured in the ceiling, adjust the tap setting as needed, and attach the grille.

How do I install the FreeSpace DS 16F loudspeaker using the pendant-mount kit?

The pendant-mount kit accessory is required. Insert the eye screws into the three inserts on the rear of the loudspeaker enclosure. Place the loudspeaker into the cosmetic cover and tighten the three loudspeaker anchors to secure the cover. Attach the suspension cables to the three eye screws and hang the entire assembly from the ceiling superstructure.

What comes in the box with the FreeSpace DS 16F loudspeaker?
