Groups – Renaming

By default, Groups are named “Group1”, “Group2”, etc. When working with more than one or two Groups, it can become difficult to remember which Group is linking which objects. To eliminate this confusion, Groups should always be renamed with a descriptive name.

The Rename function is accessible from the right-click context menu of the Group, or by selecting the Group and pressing F2. After renaming a Group, the new name will be used to identify that Group in the Groups window, as well as in any selection list within ControlSpace®, Designer such as the right-click context menu for objects and the Project Directory.

A descriptive name for each Group can eliminate confusion and prevent incorrect assignment of Groups.
